Safora Nowrouzi, Esq. has years of experience in foreclosure defense and real estate law. Her extensive experience in the legal field includes working as a judicial extern for the Honorable Joel Pressman of San Diego Superior Court, where she developed her skills in drafting tentative rulings for a variety of civil and complex cases.
Safora is also an active member of the legal community, having held various leadership positions during her time at law school. She participated in the American Bar Association’s Judicial Clerkship Program, where she worked alongside state and circuit court judges from across the nation. Safora’s leadership skills were also recognized when she played an important role in securing the presence of the Honorable Tamila Ipema as a keynote speaker at the annual Sunset Reception, a prestigious event held by the Student and Diversity Services at Cal Western.
As a panel speaker for the Color of Justice Mentorship Program held by the National Association of Women Judges, Safora shared her experience with the legal community and young students on mentorship and diversity. She also moderated a panel of women judges on the topic of diversity and success attended by members of the San Diego legal community.
Safora’s extensive background in real estate also sets her apart from other lawyers in her field. She obtained a Masters in Commercial Real Estate with an emphasis on Development at Georgetown University, enabling her to better assist investors and developers in navigating the intricacies, laws, and strategies of commercial real estate transactions. Safora currently serves as outside general counsel for various development firms across Los Angeles.
Safora’s commitment to diversity and equal access to justice was recognized when she received the access to justice scholarship award by the National Association of Women Judges in 2015.
Safora’s comprehensive experience also includes working as a post-bar law clerk at Olympia Law Group, where she utilized her law degree and real estate background in the litigation of multi-volume foreclosure defense cases. She also interned with Cal Western’s trademark clinic for two years, gaining experience in representing small business owners before the United States Patent and Trade Organization in their trademark registration process.
